REQUEST FOR BIDS

The Burnet Economic Development Corporation (BEDC) is requesting sealed bids to purchase approximately 0.211 Acres of land and improvements located at 229 South Pierce Street, also known as Lot No. 3A, Block 7, Peter Kerr Addition to the City of Burnet, Burnet County, Texas. This property is commonly referred to as the Badger Building or Wedding Oak Winery Building located on the historic downtown square.

The BEDC will accept sealed bids until 10:00 a.m. on Monday, September 16, 2024, in envelopes addressed to the BEDC, Att: City Secretary, P.O. Box 1369, 1001 Buchanan Drive, Suite 4, Burnet, Texas 78611.

Bids shall be submitted in sealed envelopes and marked “BEDC Land Bid Solicitation No. 2024-001.”

At a scheduled meeting after the close of bidding, the BEDC will consider bids and may select the bid that, in the board’s sole determination, presents the highest bid for the land and improvements.

Interested parties may obtain copies of the request for bids from the City of Burnet’s website https://www.cityofburnet.com/rfps. Hard copies of the request for bid may be obtained from the Office of the City Secretary, 1001 Buchanan Drive, Suite 4, Burnet, Texas 78611, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

No questions or requests for additional information will be accepted later than noon, Friday, September 6, 2024.

The BEDC reserves the right to waive any informality, reject any and all bids, and to accept the bid deemed by the board to be the highest bid for the land and improvements.
