Fireworks

The City of Burnet prohibits the sale or use of fireworks within its limits.

The Fire Marshal's Office conducts fireworks stand inspections for those stands located in their Extra Territorial Jurisdiction (ETJ).  This is an area within one mile of the city limits of Burnet, Texas. If you are unsure if your stand can be located on a certain property or for other information on fireworks, please call us at area code (512) 756-2662 Ext. 1, Monday through Friday, 8AM to 5PM.

Controlled Outdoor Burning Within City Limits

Controlled outdoor burning within city limits is permitted only with approval from the Fire Marshal or their designee, and it requires a permit. An onsite evaluation of the materials intended for burning must occur before the permit is issued.
