Impact and Building Fees Waived

The Burnet City Council has approved extending certain building permit fee waivers through December 31, 2016.  The waivers were slated to expire September 30, 2016.

In other related action, Council approved waiving building permit fees, standard tap fees, standard sewer tap fees and standard electrical connection fees for new single family and multi-family zoned as R-2 and R-2A (duplexes) located in the designated Neighborhood Empowerment Zones.  No expiration date has been set for these waivers.

For areas outside the NEZs, Council approved waivers of the fees on a sliding scale from January 1, 2017 through December 31, 2018.

Impact Fees are also affected by the  ruling.  Water and wastewater impact fees within the NEZs are  also waived with impact fees outside the NEZs waived on the same sliding scale as the building fees.
